What a strange comment.

I just received a comment on a post that was months and months ago. It was a picture post which one of the pictures showed karl's little naked butt.

The comment was "rude or not, why would you put a picture of your baby's naked butt on the internet. No one wants to see that. And why would you embarrass your own child?"

I didn't know it was possible to be offended by a baby's butt. Apparently, someone was. How crazy is that? Of course the commentor was anonymous. I fnd it humorous that people feel free to be bitchy when hiding behind the anonymous capability.

I'm pretty opinionated and outspoken. (gasp!) But ve never hid behind an anonymous comment. I think anyone who does so is a pussy. If you've got something to say, say it behind your own name. If you don't feel comfortable enough to use your name, you probably shouldn't be leaving a comment at all.

Now I want to post tons of naked baby butt pictures!

What about you? Do you get rude and hateful comments from people who are too chicken shit to leave their names?

Oh, don't get me started! I totally agree with you. I got comments from people (I don't allow anonymous commenters) who set up a profile and have a name but nothing else. I told a commenter to fuck off through my blog posts. Funny, haven't heard from that one since.

btw, what kind of stupid-ass comment is that anyway? lame.

Oh, so essentially even though I don't allow "anonymous" they can still be anonymous. Oh well.

I have had a few rude comments from people that don't leave their name. But I can typically track it down to the person because I have quite a following of stalkers.

I don't leave any comments without my name that I wouldn't own up to. I feel if you got the balls to say it in the first place, put a name on there.

I'm so lucky that I never get rude comments like that (crosses fingers I never do), but I do get spam messages all in Chinese. Those are mad annoying, so I had to turn on comment moderation so they won't show up on my page.

Oh, and if you can't comment nicely then don't comment at all. :-D

Oh yeah, it's happened and I feel perfectly free to use that delete button. If they are being an ass, I delete that shit.

What??? It's a baby for chrissake. I don't see anything wrong with baby butts and I'm also sure that by the time our babies are old enough to get online, they won't care that 14 years ago their moms posted pics of their butts.

Elana: I get the Chinese spam too! Ugh, and usually it's like 20 at once and I feel the need to go to delete them all. I don't want to do comment moderation, and it's only happened a few times, but I will if I have to.

wow, guess i really embarrased my son because after 3 girls, i posted a picture of the jewels on facebook showing the world that FINALLY i had a boy!

Christie said...

ok, let me rephrase. it wasn't a closeup of the jewels or anything like that, rather a full frontal baby shot when he was born. also, my pictures are only viewable to my friends. i have my FB profile pretty locked down. =P

You ought to be uncovered and open.. I do appreciate this. Probably I am writing a comment to a blog from the other part of my world for the first time. All the best. :)

Haha that's retarded. My birth announcements are of Collin's naked butt! They were taken professionally but yep... he's naked in them! I think they are cute as hell! I haven't really had any rude comments on my blog but I also don't have many readers..

I hate anon comments too. Once I had somebody leave a comment telling me how horrible it was that I spent a weeknight away from my family when I work all day. Apparently working moms don't deserve any free time.

I let silly little things like that go. There are far more pressing things in life than to get upset over such a trivial thing.
On a personal note, I would never post a naked picture of my children. Not that it is offensive just that there are too many sickos out there.

I don't think I've ever gotten any rude comments. But, I tend not to be very controversial.

But a baby's bottom is adorable! And I don't recall the pic to be in bad taste...
Some people need better hobbies than to mean-post random blogs.

Why were they even checking out your old posts?

I've turned off anonymous comments because of too many stupid people.

For the record, I love seeing naked baby butts. Maybe that makes me a perv, but whatever!

I think I may have gotten one anon comment that hurt me once- years ago. Can't even remember now... but I agree- if you aren't going to say something that you would own up to then you probably shouldn't be saying it!
I guess I am lucky to have a very small (and probably shrinking!) group of followers who I pretty much feel like I know very well by now. And not posting more than once a month lends itself nicely to being ignored by the anons!

I get a few anon comments (like once a year) but I never post them or give them attention because that is just what they want. I always imagine them being all pissed off when they go ignored - makes me fell better haha!

Also, I think baby bums are super cute but like zach05kate95 I'm too afraid to post anything like that. Especially after a fellow blogger I know had to close down her blog because she was being targeted by pedophiles after posting much the same type of picture. She went through hell and was really truly worried about her family being targeted and it just freaked me out so much! It's sad that it has to be like that though hey!

I don't have uncensored naked baby pictures of my boys (except one of each of them on the scale right after they were born. I just don't think it's necessary.

When I see naked bum pictures of my friends kids I wonder what they're thinking (particularly on the internet). It's one thing to have them in an album but another to post them where a pedophile could find them and "enjoy" them.
Call me paranoid but I would ever do it.
