Do I comment on your blog?

Do you comment on my blog? If so, I should be reading and commenting on your blog. I subscribe to 174 blogs. This does not include private blogs, as reader doesn't show them as updated. This aspect drives me nuts, as I use my reader 99.9% of the time to tell me when to read an updated blog, so I miss or I'm late with all of the private blogs I have an invite to. Tip to all of the private blog owners out there - set up a notifier blog that is public. Every time you write a new post to your private blog, simply type a quick sentence in your public blog so your readers can be notified. Bree did this and it was awesome.

Anywho, I read all of my subscribed to blogs. And I comment on all of them too. I don't comment a lot, but I should comment enough for you to know I am a regular reader. (I'll admit when I get behind I don't comment at all, but I do scroll through all the blogs, getting myself updated, knowing I'll comment with the next round of posts.) So if I'm not commenting on your blog, you probably are not in my reader. And if you comment on my blog, I ~want~ you in my reader!

So, please, leave a comment to this post if you believe you aren't in my reader (and you want me to read what you've got to say!). Leave the URL if your profile does ~not~ link to your blog.

Also, there are a few of my regular commentors who own private blogs and I would love to be invited! My email is listed in my profile - I would greatly appreciate it if you invited me into your world if you are a regular reader of my world.

My readers and commentors are so awesome, I want to give back the support you all give me. So please, please, please, make sure you are in my reader! If you aren't sure, leave a comment so I can be sure myself.

Thank you!!!

wow! 174 blogs is alot of reading. Well I read your blog regulalrly, I like your style of writing and you challenge me to think about the way I view certain issues. I'm a relatively new blogger I guess and not very exciting. But that said, I love all the things I have learned from reading and set up another blog with my friend Carly (Names in the Sand) because of it. (Called Whispered Support, I'd love your HONEST opinion of it)
Sorry, am rambling. Will stop now.
Love your work!

I do not know if I am in your reader. I comment occasionally, and you have commented in the past. If I am not I always welcome new readers. If you are then I will see you later. (I understand you running behind considering all you have been through lately)

I've commented here and there, but my blog is pretty new so I'm not sure if you have it in your reader or not. I'm still trying to get into the habit of posting more, but I'm sure things will pick up once I start my IVF cycle.

You don't read mine.

I didn't respond the last time you asked. My blog was just a very boring blog, up until just a couple days ago. Life circumstances have made it more interesting and attracted more than 3 readers/commenters.

Hi,
I love your wry sense of humor and read you all the time. I've left a few comments, but since you were busy having a baby, getting a blood transfusion and all, I didn't really expect much in the way of comments.
Glad you're feeling better!

Hey Nancy,
You read my blog a while ago when I was ttc. I quit once I got pg. My son has PKU, so I have decided to start blogging again about life with PKU.
Anyway I have kept up with your blog and would love to be added to your list if you want.

Yes, you read me and I read you.

However, since you made a request to your read-ees about private blogs, I would like to make one to you. Can you please change your settings on your blog to display the entire post, not just the summary? I can't read you in my reader because it only shows like the first 3 lines of your posts. I actually have to open your blog up to read the whole thing...which defeats the purpose of the reader, no? Muchas Gracias!

I know you read me as you comment on me once in a while. I am like you when i get behind it is hard to comment but I still always read.

I'll come out of lurkdom and finally comment. Found you through To a T's blog. Love your honesty and humor, and find that I usually say a big 'Amen' to things you discuss here. I'm new to the blogosphere, started a blog when I was naively pg the first time last summer. Three losses later I'm still here, very much barren... would always love new readers (and insight!)!

I think that I am in your reader but I am not sure. I know that you have commented in the past, so I probably am. If not, then feel free to add me.

I hope you and your beautiful family are doing well...

174? WOW I am at like 65ish and thought I was overdoing it. You are a champion. ;)

loribeth said...

I don't always comment, but I am reading. : ) I just checked, & I have (gulp) 253 blogs in my reader... about half are infertility & pregnancy loss blogs.

Bree piping in to say:

1) I heart you, and thanks for the mad shout out.

2) 175 is awesome. I'm at 121 and thought I was a bit of a freak. Thanks for setting that bar higher.

3) Don't let #2 offend. Remember the I heart you part?

4) After my early loss, I realized that it didn't make sense for me to be PWP anymore. I wanted to belong to the larger community, but sometimes password-protect certain posts.

Just like LoriBeth, I don't always comment, but am an avid reader. :)

I also have a random question for you... I've always wondered - when babies pass out in a "milk coma" do you still burp them? Or do you wait?

Inquiring minds want to know. :)

That is a LOT of blogs, Nancy! Wow!! I myself don't have a blog, but I enjoy reading yours and about 10 others (and I cut back because I thought I was following too many). Maybe someday I will make a blog for myself, but right now I'll be a follower and lurker and a Facebooker! :)

Tara said...

Not sure if my new blog is in your reader - I used to be invite only (to which you were invited) but I've now started a new blog about parenting after IF.

Put me in your reader, dammit! ;)

Dang girl how do you have the time to keep up with 174 blogs. LOL I know that a mom of 3 I just don't have enough time to always keep up with all of mine but I try to keep up with the ones that do the most updating (Hense the reason I'm always reading YOURS..LOL) Not sure if you are linked to mine or not but I believe mine is in my profile if you choose to read mine it's cool but if not I'm not going to go blistic on you for NOT reading it. LOL

Peeveme said...

You really are awesome with the comments. Really, I don't know how you read let alone comment on that many blogs. I love all comments but get extra excited when you leave one.

Coco said...

Wow! 147 and asking for more?!? Thats crazy! I don't think that I am on your reader. I read your blog daily and loved getting to read about your labor and delivery as it was happening!

Hi Nancy...I started lurking at the end of your pregnancy with Karl. I think I finally commented after I hadn't been on your blog in a while when I read on the Captains' Wife blog (Staying above the water) to go give you some support when you were in the hospital. That was the first time I've commented on your blog!

If you want to visit me, feel free! I know you have a ton of others to read so my feelings won't be hurt if you can't. ;-) Just saying hi!!

Brandi said...

Wow that is a lot of blog reading. I'm not sure if I'm still on your reader or not.

Glennformer said...

I don't know if I'm in your reader. I know you have checked for new posts occasionally and found nothing new (and kicked me in the butt about it), which sounds like you are not subscribed, but you haven't been commenting lately--maybe because you have 174 blogs to read!

Molly said...

I think I'm in your reader; I get comments from time to time. I wish I had the type of readership that you do.

You've commented on my blog, but I think only thru ICLW...

If you want to add another one to your list, feel free to add mine! :)

Hi Nancy!

I found your blog recently (though before Karl was born) and have been a faithful reader ever since. I believe I've commented once or twice before.

My blog is brand new and probably boring ;) but you are always welcome to read.

174 blogs! Wow! I am so impressed you can keep up with that many and raise a family! I have a measly 50 or so and some weeks feel like I can barely keep up.

Avid reader of The New Life of Nancy, by the way!

See how popular you are?

I wasn't aware that the private blogs don't show updates. I don't look at a blog unless it is updated. I created an update blog like you suggested. Do you know if you "subscribe" to follow a private blog whether it will tell you there's an update?

nancy said...

Note to myself - added everyone through Lisa.

nancy said...

Emily - yes - make a blog for yourself! It's not as time consuming as facebook, as you just gotta make a little post for yourself just once a day at the most! And a teacher in a charter school in colorado? Sheesh - I'd love to read about you. (I just enrolled Ella into a charter school here in the springs)

nancy said...

Okay, everyone is added. Yay!! I got lots of 'new' (to me) blogs to checkout.

Jennifer - nope, private blogs don't show updates.

JP said...

Nancy,
I have been reading your blog for a long time. I comment occasionally. I finally started my own blog. Check it out! Thanks. JP
