I get all kinds of anonymous comments. Usually I simply delete them after rolling my eyes at their stupidity. These are usually comments where they are bashing me for one thing or another - and they don't really even know me. I mean, sure - I write a lot in a blog, for for goodness' sake, spend a day with me before you judge me.
And then there is the comment like "anon" left me in the last post. It literally amazes me someone would take the time to scold me about making an appointment without having ANY clue what I had in mind.
These are the people who are all about assvice. They just can't ~stand~ to "hear" someone say anything without giving their input. And 99.9% of the time, it's just so freaking stupid advice. I call these the "let's point out the obvious" people.
I honestly don't know why they leave these types of comments. Do they think they are helping? Or do they simply want to be rude? I'm guessing it's the latter because if they were trying to simply help, they wouldn't say it in such a way to be so god damned rude.
It's like you talk about your guilty moment about eating a whole pint of ice cream by yourself. And then you get a comment "You know, that much ice cream will make you fat.". No shit! Really? I would have NEVER figured that one out on my own! THANK YOU Miss Let's Point Out the Obvious!! Wow. I can now die in peace, for all my knowledge as been received. Whew. Thank you. Really. Thanks.
So, Miss Let's Point Out the Obvious aka "anonymous", I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart to tell me your insights about the fine art of appointment making. You are awesome. Now go pat yourself on the back and feel satisfied. You deserve it.

first, i am glad you didn't delete it cause i wanted to read it (lol), then second - what a douchebag! the stupidity of some people really should be illegal.
I was actually just coming back to comment on anonymous' comment on your last post.
Being a person who has spent a LOT of time in tattoo shops and knows how things work in that world, it was actually wise of you to make the appointment in December even if you can't make it - because for artists like this (who are super good and super popular) you need to keep yourself familiar to them. So you book the appointment and if you have to change or cancel it at around that point in time - then you're still keeping yourself fresh in the artist's recent memory. And that makes it easier to rebook. As long as you don't stand them up - they have no problem filling a cancellation.
Also - what were you supposed to do? Tell him you couldn't make an appointment for December because you would be too pregnant then? Wouldn't that give away your secret?
People just don't get how some stuff works.
tara - EXACTLY. I couldn't say "well, I can't really make an appointment beause I'll be too pregnant". Blah. And I knew my husband would want the time AND even if for some fucked up reason he didn't want it (yeah, right), some VERY lucky person would still get it. It's the very reason I was sitting in that chair that day!!! And look how happy it made me. And I would never be a no-show - I'd of cancelled it way before and another lucky bastard would of gotten that time. With a popular artist, their time doesn't go unfilled.
And why would I take the time to explain all of that? Good lord. Just because I don't explain something doesn't mean I'm going to be an asshole.
Tara - can I get an invite to your blog? My email is in my profile. I understand if you don't, but from the past few comments, we have at least a little in common!
Now I need to go back and read the comment. I love when you publish the stupid ones and then post about it so I can go back and get entertainment out of other people's stupidity. The small things in life, right?
DENISE!!! I just got all giddy seeing your name. I've missed you tons girl.
I too, had to go and read the anon comment. What a moron! No wonder she comments annonymously. I wouldn't want anyone to know how dumb I was either!!
The tat is gorgeous. I kinda want one myself but am too chicken to commit...
It's just the blogger equivalent of idiots who talk simply to hear themselves talk...I couldn't stand them in my college classes, and I can't stand them now.
I must have the most boring blog ever, because I never get any interesting anon comments.
I know absolutely squat about tattoos. I'm excited because I was watching the news today and someone mentioned their "half-sleeve", and due to your post yesterday I actually know what the hell they were talking about.
just wanted to say that I love checking your blog. it's maybe my favorite. we don't agree on everything, you and I, but I love that you put your thoughts out there and I love that you post comments that include different opinions from your own. I appreciate your openness !
hopingdangerously. - Thank you for such a wonderful compliment. Life would be so boring if everyone agreed, but I think everyone should at least understand there IS a differing view on almost everything. I would never try to get someone to agree with me, but I do like for them to at least hear out my reasoning.
Anonymous Commentors are wimps.
You're obviously a smart woman, what you do is your business and is surely done with thought.
FU Anonymous Commentors.
I've never received an anonymous comment, but my blog doesn't have nearly the readership that yours does. ;)
I can't wait until tomorrow because you'll be taking a new belly pic! :D
HeHeHe... Being gone for three days with my best friends new baby (YAY... born July 9th, I'm a happy new "auntie"), it's nice to see you back to your onery self :) (I can't spell.. I'm tired from being at Sky Ridge all week :) )
Question, who is your tattoo artist? Is he free hand? I want to get my back piece done, but I need a freehand artist to help me design it. How is his pricing?
Ok, I'm off to spend time with my family who miss me horribly, and then off to the hospital again around 8ish.
*hugs* Glad to see ya.. Oh, and I'm gonna go and read anon's post.
Tori - I took it down myself.
Funny how they're always anonymous....sometimes I wonder if it's just one person running hell-for-leather around blogs leaving daft comments.
:)

Ugh, Ugh, and double Ugh! You seem to be stalked by these anons. I have yet to get a crossing the stupidity line comment - I guess my time is coming! Love the tattoo!
i don't understand why they even bother to comment!!! and if you are gonna comment don't be a punk and do it anonymously, that is so cowardly(is that a word?)!!! btw great tat!!!
you do attract some crazies, but at least it provides a little entertainment, huh?
Nancy, you just attract people, the good & the bad, heck you probably had hundreds of congratulations from total strangers on your latest BFP just from your blog alone. There's far more people who LIKE you than not. And like hopingdangerously. . . I too don't agree with everything you say/do but I'm not going to post a comment about it when it's really none of my damned business anyway. All these haters & dumb commenters are just jealous and need to find something else to do.
Anyways, nice tattoo. . . I'm not a tattoo person myself, but I do appreciate the art form.
Getting tattoos is a very personal decision whether you are a Maori tribesman or suburban working mom. As long as you are educated re.the risks, it's your body, your decision. To share another perspective as RN who's cared for ART families, it's a Total drag to cancel a IUI or FET if the mom got inked the weekend before transfer. The REs I've worked with are very upfront, put it (and host of other things, no ibuprofen, etc.) in writing, (OMG, the paperwork!!)and will make a pt wait 6 months and redo HIV and STD testing. Thanks for sharing your perspective and insight, Best Wishes to your family.
I think it is hilarious when people leave "anonymous" comments. Usually it's because they are too afraid to take ownership of a comment. And I love the new tattoo!
