(children mentioned)
My youngest was complaining of a hurt neck. Usually I'll give an owie extra attention and kiss it and usually that's all she needs. After continued complaint, I decided on some motrin - as maybe she strained her neck playing. That was 2 hours ago.
She is laying on the couch with her hand on the back of her neck, crying. I called her pediatrician. They ask if she has a fever and I didn't think she did but I check. 101! How did I not catch that? They then ask me a few other questions, some yes, some no.
And then she says "Has she possibly lost control of her bladder or bowels lately?"
~gasp~. YES. My daughter has been 100% potty trained for well over a year. And in the past 5 days? 4 accidents. I can't even remember the last time she's had an accident.
So I am waiting for a call back from the doctor himself, as the nurse wants him to assess now. And google? VERY bad.
More waiting.
Maybe I should have put this on my other blog. Sorry.

Positive thoughts...
Oh no this doesn't sound good...I hope she is ok. I have no idea what all those symptoms together might indicate.....

Oh my! I will be keeping your LO in my prayers!
I'm holding healthy thoughts for your daughter, Nancy. I'll check in soon....XO.
I hope she's okay! Make sure to keep us updated on how everything goes. Maybe the fever is causing her neck to hurt. I know when I get a fever, my back, neck, legs, etc become very painful.
Oh my, please do let us know what is wrong with her as soon as you get a chance. Of course taking care of her first and foremost.
oh god.. sending good thoughts, hope she's okay.
Oh no!!! I hope it's nothing serious! ((((Hugs)))) Poor Allie!
I'm sending you lots of love and hugs!
-D
Akkk!!!!
Will say a quick prayer for your daughter that all will be ok.
Don't apologize. Wherever you put it, we will freak out with you. So...that's it? The nurse basically says, this could be bad -and ...we'll call you back?
I guess I'll just pray. Starting...now.
Oh no hun!!! I will be keeping Allie (and you!) in my thoughts....I hope this is just a minor bug and she gets better soon.
I hope everything is ok!
I hope it's nothing serious Nancy. Waiting for your update. Hugs to you and your daughter.
I'm so sorry hon. I hope that your little one gets better very soon.

Bless her heart...and mommy's heart too because I know that must be scary just not knowing. She and mommy are in my thoughts...please update ASAP so we know she is ok. And about posting it on the other blog, this is YOUR blog and obviously everyone who reads it loves ya to death and I highly doubt anyone would mind you posting about your sick child, and if they do then they just shouldn't read your blog. JMO though.
yikes! i truly hope all is well. keep us posted. hugs!!!
Please keep us updated, Nancy. You and your little one are in my thoughts and prayers, but I'm sure she'll be just fine.
Nancy, please let us know what happens. I will be thinking of you and your daughter!
Oh Nancy....I will keep you in my thoughts tonight. Hoping it is just a viral infection or something easily treatable.....
Hoping that everything is okay.....
I hope everything works out. I will be thinking about you guys. Let us know what the doctor says. ((((HUGS))))
Let us know what is going on! That sounds kinda worrisome!!
~hugs~ Hold on in there honey! You are a good Mommy for taking notice of it!
Nancy,
I'm keeping you both in my thoughts -- I think its promising that they are paying close attention and are really paying attention to her care.
I hope you both feel better soon and I'll be waiting to hear an update -- I wish I had advice but anything I've gleaned is from Dr. google as well --
XO
Pam
I can only imagine how worried you must be. Please know that I'm thinking of you guys and I hope you get good news. Take care, and let us know what happens.
What's the word? Is she OK?
(((hugs))) hope everything is ok
Nancy You need to calm down. You know freaking out (Even if it's inside and not outside) isn't going to make you or Allie feel better. Don't think about the what ifs. Take one moment at a time!!
Try and think back to when all of this happened? I'm sure it will help them diagonsis what is going on much better. Did she have an accident at all? Was she rough housing with her sister or jumping off something? 101 isn't alarming...YET!
I know it's not helpful but think positively. Just stick by the phone and wait things out. Let us know what's going on when you can. Praying for good news!!
Oh, that is scary :( I hope it's something not too serious! What is Dr. Google telling you that's scaring you?
OMG! I'll be praying for your daughter. Hopefully the doctors will get back to you soon and be able to fix whatever needs fixing. Google can be great, but sometimes utterly terrifying... *BIG HUGE HUGS*
oh no Nancy, I will think positive thoughts for you guys.
Yikes! I hope it's nothing serious... meningitis comes to mind immediately. Thoughts and prayers with you & yours!
I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything ends up alright, poor little sweetie.
Heh. Michelle - I wasn't actually "Freaking Out" - just nervous. I am always the calm one in situations like this. but the scare of meningitis was scary.
Honestly Nancy..with you being pregnant...one may never know. For me knowing you as long as I have..I figured you weren't actually "freaking out" but who knows when someone is typing things...right? So shoot me for being logical at times :P ha ha At least you know I'm thinking about ya ;)hugs Glad it's not meningitis. Strep is much easier to treat.
