insurance freak out.

RE billing office called. Insurance company denied IVF coverage due to not showing "12 months of less evasive treatments".

I'm thinking this is all due to a paperwork error, as I talked to insurance company on January 31st and made sure the first femara cycle in February 2007 counted. It did. I requested paperwork to be sent from OB's office to insurance company. Confirmed today that it was, in fact, sent out on February 1st. That was almost a full 4 weeks ago.

Insurance company is closed because they think it's perfectly okay to keep hours of 9a-430p CT. I will call first thing in the morning.

Yet, I still am freaking out. What if I have to cancel this cycle?

Ugh, what a pain in the rear. Keep hounding them, they'll get it figured out if you seem serious. I would do the cycle regardless since I really think if you have history documentation, this will all be cleared up....good luck!

My school group went very well. Thanks so much for remembering and asking me about it. I simply expressed to them that I am experiencing a lot of pain in my personal life and, while I do not think going over details in group was going to be useful to them...it was important for them to know what level of engagement and inner work I am capable of....

OH Nancy...I really hate insurance companies...and I was SOOOO hopeful and proud of Colorado for having such great insurance...and now they're being assholes.

I really hope that this works out to be just some stupid glitch.

Thinking of you and your kick-ass roller-derby queen self (love those girls)

Totally has to be a paperwork error....or a clerical error. Your first medicated cycle was Feb. 2007.....your IVF is in March 2008. Seems pretty black and white to me, however insurance companies like to keep people on their toes. =/ I would be freaking out too, but you *know* the facts and they speak for themselves.

Ack ~hugs~ for all the stress.

no, no, no! I hope it's all cleared up tomorrow. It has to be- you can't have this cycle cancelled- I won't stand for it!

Insurance companies are SUCH a pain! At least you're showing me the bright side of having to pay out of pocket, right? No dealing with stress like this.

Just keep on them between the insurance company and your doctor's office and they should be able to figure it out. Good luck!

Keep bugging them. It took a month of me hounding to figure out if I had coverage or not. Then it took a week or so for them to decide if I had enough "less evasive" treatments.

Good luck, I really do think things will be fine!
Just frustrating I know!
