I hate rollercoasters.

For anyone reading my blog for awhile, you will agree I've been on one hell of a rollercoaster. Finding the issues within my uterus and needing 4 surgeries, the cancellation of my ET from IVF, the (many) threatened cancellations of my FET, lame lining, the low betas, the scare of ectopic pregnancy. Jeez. I thought I'd finally cleared all of my hurdles.

But noooo. This freaking trisomy 21 risk. The issues surrounding having an velamentous cord insertion (vci).

And now? I'm spotting.

It's brown and very light. I was laying down pretty much for the first 24 hours so hopefully this is just the iodine and whatnot coming out now I'm moving around.

Can a girl catch a fucking break? Please?

Now, I understand things can be worse. I really am not doing a "poor me, I've got it worst" thing. But I just want to relax just a little bit.

I am hoping that you'll clear this hurdle, too.

On the plus side, I haven't had to watch any soaps since you started this steeplechase.

Light spotting is totally normal after a CVS. I know, since I was trying to figure out if "bleeding like a period" was normal (it isn't). :) I will keep my fingers crossed that it passes soon. Keep that Doppler handy.

I will now go Google this cord issue so I can know what the heck it is all about.

aw Nancy, you definitely need a break. I know what you mean about not being able to relax. As soon as I allow myself to breathe and relax a little bit, it seems something else goes wrong. I pray they get the results of the CVS back to you really quickly. As far as the thing with the cord, I've never heard of that before. I'm praying for you and your family.

I too think your spotting may be normal, your body's been through a lot!

Best of luck, my thoughts are with you.

... and yes, I hear you on the "I just want to relax" thing.

Keeping you in my prayers that you have a healthy and happy pregnancy. Maybe I should add roller-coaster-ride-free to the prayers. I'll do that tonight!

Sorry this has been such a roller coaster ride for you.

Hope that everything is ok.

Sending you hugs. Get that doppler out - hopefully that will set your mind at ease for a bit.

Sara - already did it. Baby's heartbeat is just fine and I can hear mad bouncing around. At least the baby is having fun!

Hey lovely Nancy.

I had a dream that I was giving you a great big hug!! So, even in slumber I'm supporting you! Heh heh. I really hope that pesky spotting settles down, and you can get back to the business of just being pregnant.

It is totally understandable for you to be freaking a bit. At least your spotting is still brown right? So that is a good sign and most likely exactly as you stated, iodine or just old stuff.

You will know more tomorrow right? Do what ever you can to keep low, rest a lot, and stress as little as possible, cause god knows it would be silly to say "Try not to stress" Yeah right as if that were an option!

I am thinking about you and waiting to hear your positive updates...

((hugs)) Poor me would be about how you only have $1500 in your pocket...this is not poor me, this is totally justified. It's scary and it's your ~baby~ you're talking about. You totally have the right to be scared. I'm just gonna keep praying everything will be alright.

(super big hugs) coming your way!

Well, you got a heart beat so I'm feeling relieved for you. I will, of course, keep you in my thoughts, check up on you multiple time a day and send a little prayer to the Gods for you and your little one.

Fingers crossed, toes crossed, and loads of prayers going up. BUT I think that light spotting might be "normal" after a procedure like CVS??

You're in my thoughts Nancy!

I'm so sorry that this has you worried. I wish I had words of comfort, but unfortunately I don't. I will say that I will be thinking about you and sending good healthy baby thoughts your way.
