No more crying wolf.

Jeez. I'm not going to assume anything anymore. I just get proven wrong time and time again.

I had my "35w" appointment today. My OB was in surgery, so I met with the NP. I needed to ask all the c-section questions I had (when? can we do the version with cord issue? etc.) and she said those would all have to be answered by the Doc. When she measured my fundus (36cms!) she said "I think this baby is head down. Either that or he has a really firm butt." I was like No Way, since he was Frank Breech last week. So she went and got the handy dandy portable u/s machine (u/s#21!) and what do you know? Head down and snuggled in. No more c-section worries (due to breech) for me. Well, unless the kid turns again. Who knows, right?

Everything else was cool. BP was sticking at 120/80, my weight was 166lbs (+9 from bfp added to +12 from IVF/FET for a total gain of 21 lbs.) I talked about my insomnia and my lovely, wonderful NP gave me some ambien. I'm SO excited to go to bed tonight with the chance to actually ~sleep~.

I have my 12th BPP/NST tomorrow which will make u/s#22. You'd think I was high risk or something. ~wink~. I'm going to ask her to measure Karl's head just to see if hanging out in my pelvis made it a tad bit smaller. Now I'm worried about delivering a huge head!

Lots of work to do, but wanted to give the update.

I was so happy to hear that he has moved to head down. Yay! I do see that you have found something else to worry about though. :)

Urgh! Gosh, I figured he still had time to turn! YAY! That is great news. I knew you weren't excited about a c-sec. Here's to hoping for a vaginal delivery!

(PS, 35 weeks is when Andrew decided to turn too).

Love the comment about having a firm butt. heh :-) Anyhoo, I'm so glad Karl turned for us. Everyone in blog land was begging him to, so he just *had* to listen. WOOT!

Yay! That's great news! So will you have to deliver early whatsoever then? Or just let nature take its course?

That is so awesome that he flipped! He knew he was worrying momma about a csection, so he was a good little boy!

Sounds like a great appt. :)

Oh see, I shouldn't have said anything about his head size after your c-section post. ;) You will be a-ok I bet! So excited he turned around!

Wow - that's great news! Well, at least now you know everything there is to know about c-sections just in case. :)

Head down is fabulous!!Power of positive thinking...either that or you said something to scare the living shit out of the kid (lol).

Didn't know we could take ambien....I have some in my med cabinet and may consider that Fri or Sat night...knowing I don't have to get up for work this weekend.

Yay! Of course, that didn't help me, but you have a history of being able to put that to work. (Mine never dropped - I think she had her little talon claws embedded into my rib cage). Congratulations!

I don't think the wolf rule applies to high risk ladies...you are exempt!

So excited that Karl is playing fair, but her certainly keeps you guessing - a sign of things to come?

I am so glad you had such a wonderful appointment today! And there's 5 weeks to go? Any more word on dates?

And only 21 lbs gained. Damn. That is astounding for a third baby! (I know you had a hard time gaining weight in the past- so no judging from me either way <3) I 'lost' the water weight & am back down to about an 8 lb gain so far. We'll see how the holidays pan out!

Good luck with sleeping tonight!

So glad he turned. You seem like such a natural kinda lady!

I have been told to take unisom and tylenol PM. Although, right now nothing is touching the lack of sleep due to what I think is sciatica.

Congrats on the head-down situation!! I also worry about birthing a big head, but if we have to, we have to! I hope the Ambien helps and that you got some good zzz's last night!

Ah that is great news! I hope he stays all snuggled in now! No more somersaults!

YAY Nancy. I'm so HAPPY he is not breech anymore. I haven't left a comment in a while, but I still pop in to read your blog. I can't believe how close you are getting. I have news too. I've got #3 on the way (EDD 8/4/09). I'm totally sick and tired now, but it's all worth it. I am having the CVS done next month because of age and wondered if you could tell me a little about it. Was it terrible? I'm a little nervous? I'm hoping they can do it vaginally vs. the big needle.

Congrats again!!
