No bueno. sd9.

Stim day 9, meaning I've completed 8 days of stims.

Follie count is something like 9 now. Well, there are 9 big follies - 17-18mm. A "handful" of others at 14mm and then some smaller ones.

Ack. I was really hoping on 10. Ten was the magic number for me to be at ease.

My lining was also lame at 7.7mm, down from yesterday? I'm sure it was just measured differently yesterday due to the lower resolution, so today's was probably more accurate.

My lining was crappy enough that he refused to do the trial transfer today and rescheduled for tomorrow. He doesn't want to 'scratch' the lining I have now - giving it another day to grow. So I held my urine for 2 hours for nothing. Poop.

And ... After 2 sticks of the hand to get blood today, it wasn't enough blood. So they took me again after my u/s and stuck me twice more. Awesome.

I have a headache. And my house smells like fish.

Any fish cookers out there? How do you get the effing fish smell out of your house after you cook it? I had some cod, which was from frozen, so it wasn't super fresh (I live in colorado, not much fresh fish to get here) and although it tasted ~good~ (I made fish and chips), it has smelled my house up. I used incense and now my house smells like fish incense.

update: E2 was 1554 and Progesterone was 1.3

Aw.. damn Nancy. That sucks. I am not going to try and even make it sound pretty. It just sucks.

As far as the fish smell, Oust works really well and so does an orange oil based deoderizer.

I'm sorry about you’re no good day.
~hug~

As far as fish? Try some FDS, works for me.
J/K. Maybe today isn’t the day to be cracking jokes, even if it is at my expense.

Have you ever tried those candle warmers? That and an open window. They work like a charm for all smells, except maybe a rotten onion that is found 4 months later in the back of the pantry.

I think 9 at 17 or 18 right now is great (sorry it wasn't your magic number though). And I'm sorry about the mock transfer....I'm keeping my fingers crossed your lining cooperates between now and tomorrow! I know it is so hard to see set-backs this late in the game, but I just know this is all going to work!

I'm sorry that the magic number wasn't reached but I'll continue to cross my fingers for you!

And why do they stick you in the hand? Or am I just stupid an not reading it right?

Your fish incense house made me laugh. It makes me think of my hubby's love of frankincense incense. I tell him frequently our house smells like church when he burns it!

Jen - I'm a really bad stick. My arm veins hasn't given blood for over a decade. All blood draws/IVs/etc are out of my hands or wrists and once my foot.

Nancy--try putting a pot of water and white vinegar on the stove and let it boil. The steam is supposed to take the fish smell out of the air.

Sorry about the follies not being where you wanted them, but they still sound really good! Keeping my fingers crossed that everything works itself out. ~hugs~

I'm sorry you didn't get the results you were hoping for. I'm sure you'll have ten next time. There always seem to be some hidden ones in there somehow. It's so frustrating when you're going through this part of the process; sometimes you don't know until the day before that you're going to have to go back to the doctor.

Hey Nancy-

I am sorry that you have a bit of a wrench in the plans today and tomorrow. I bet you are right that they just measured wrong the other day and hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised tomorrow. Hang in there....

About the fish ;). It can be overpowering but it will go away. Since it is so nice out, I would have as many windows open as possible all day...and some candles. I can only imagine the smell of incense and fish in your house, ack!

Can't help you on the fish smell but your doc seems really on top of things which makes me hopeful for you this round:-)

That's not "no bueno"! I know it is hard to go through all this and see little results, but you have to look on the bright side...you haven't gotten OHSS and you WILL be having this ER/ET. OK, I am lame...boo to your follies! GROWWWWW! Hope you get your 10!

None of that sounds like fun.

And, with fish (granted I get it fresh on the Gulf Coast here)I find leaving a window open helps (again...Colorado weather is probably quite different from N.O. right now...but that is what I do).

I know you had your heart set on 10, but 9 is really good! I know it's so disappointing when things don't go as planned: we are all so anxious and impatient it seems, and it's hard for any kind of setback. But my lining went down one day inexplicably, then up again the next day, so I hope that tomorrow, it will all be back on track. As for the fish smell, my solution is that I don't eat fish. Ever. But burning candles, even lighting a match in each room then blowing it out, may help.

I never eat fish but this is what I have heard works!

Burn a couple of scoops of ground coffee on a piece of aluminum foil on your burner while you cook and while you are eating or boil some cinnamon and cloves or a bowl of vinegar in an uncovered pot.

I'm sorry about your cancellation, fewer follies & lining going down. I hope that some of the other posters are right about it all working out tomorrow- I really hope it does.

I'm sorry things aren't going exactly as planned. But I'm still pulling for ya

Blah :( I hope tomorrow is better. And I second the vinegar thing for smells - it will initially smell like white vinegar but then will smell much better.

I really hope you get better news tomorrow, but 9 is still wonderful!

You're still beating me on the follie count, so don't despair. I am covetous of YOUR follies! And just remember--during my successful cycle, I went through the whole thing thinking I only had 11, and they retrieved 13. Hang in there, and good luck tomorrow.
P.S. I know you know this, but drink as much water as you can the morning of bloodwork. It helps so much, even if you're just naturally a crappy stick.

Awww, crap on burnt toast, Nancy. I'm sorry you had a rough day. You never know, there could be one shy follie hiding away in there. One day at at time. I know, easier said than done. I'll keep repeating that phrase to you (or some other phrase if it helps) if you'll repeat it to me next month.
