oh yeah...

also,

baby is a hefty 8ozs. And I have a anterior placenta, which is located on top of my belly, so those kicks aren't strong yet because the poor little boy has to kick that instead of my tummy directly.

I had placenta previa with Lauren and was scheduled for a C-section because of the high risk of blood loss during delivery. I got a ton of ultrasounds and more monitoring because of it, so I wasn't too bummed. But it miraculously (according to the docs) corrected itself around 37 weeks and and then I had to wait for the little miss to make her own appearance at 41w 2 days. Slacker! Now that I've reread that, it is totally off topic. But here you go anyway! Can't wait to see more pics of the little man growing!

One of my babies also has an anterior placenta. I wasn't feeling squat on that side for quite a while, but it finally kicked in around week 20-ish.

I think mine was anterior also. They didn't tell me directly, but after my ultrasound I had to go to my appointment with my doctor. They handed me some paperwork to take and I was peeking at it and I saw, "placenta: anterior". I wished they had explained it to me, but I went home and googled it afterwards. I wish I had taken notes during my pregnancy because I don't know when I actually felt the kicks. I believe it was around 19 or 20 weeks that it was noticeable kicks instead of brief squirmies.
