Surgery tomorrow

My surgery is tomorrow. I'm not worried in the very least. Plus, I bribed my OB today, so I should get some extra special treatment!

Okay, so it wasn't a real bribe, but I did have breakfast catered for my entire OB's office this morning. I ordered the "Classy Continental " which consisted of:
~ Imported coffee
~ Freshly squeezed orange juice
~ Seasonal fresh fruit
~ Sweet mini muffins & scones w/ butter and jam.
~ Hot buttermilk bicuits w/ jam, butter and honey.

The note simply said "A small token of our appreciation to every single person in the office. Signed, Nancy & Tom Leisher and baby Karl"

I must admit that it's a strange feeling to think that in 20 short hours, I'll be sterile. I know we're done having babies, but making it official? Ugh. My heart is hurting a bit right now.

I hope all goes smoothly for you. And that was a very sweet gesture to send them foodstuffs. I'm sure it was very appreciated!

I can see how your heart must hurt. Being naturally "sterile" is bad enough. ;) (Yes, I know the difference.)

That was a very nice gesture! My office is super small so I was thinking of giving them all gift certificates for a lunch place near by. I would do what you did but they don't work the same days (the midwives).

I can understand how much your heart must be hurting, even if you make the choice it must be hard to decide you are done having children.

Just reading it sounds harsh so I can't imagine the feelings you're dealing with. I hope everything goes very smoothly!

Good luck tomorrow. I know having my tubes tied was the right thing to do but I still cried a bit when I did it.

That was a very nice gesture for the OB's office. Lots of luck tomorrow. Love the new header picture. I can't resist a beach photo!

Best of luck to you tomorrow. Best of skill to your surgeon.

Lots of milestones are tough ones. This one is particularly ironic after all you've been through. I've already shared my heartache remedy with you, so I'll just keep an eye out for the smoke and know you are feeling better.

Virtual hugs.

I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. I will be thinking of you. I am sure that, emotionally, it is a little difficult (not sure if that is the right word) to make the not-having-children thing permanent. But you will find peace with your decision.
Hugs to you as you go through your procedure tomorrow! And I totally wish I was your dr. because their breakfast kicked ass over mine this morning. :)

P.S. Love the header! And love the baby announcement! I got it in the mail the other day!

I had to agree to a hysto after fighting secondary IF...I still cry over it. I did make the choice to do the surgery but the IF witch leaves a scar~ in our hearts and on our bodies LOL
