Terms of Endearment

This movie was made in 1983 and I must of seen it a billion times. (okay, maybe like 10) Each time, I cry.

I just finished watching it again. Today was no different.

That IS a great movie and ALWAYS makes me cry! Today must have been a day for "back in the day" movies, because I just got done watching Stand By Me.

One of my favorites.

I am totally watching a movie tomorrow -- just sitting and veging out.

I've never seen that movie, but there are several movies that I just can't help but cry at the end of. *sigh*

Oh yeah - Terms of Endearment, Steel Magnolias, Sommersby. It doesn't matter how many times I have seen them, I am still left in the same blubbering mess at the end.

There are plenty of movies that do that to me too. The latest one that I watched was Stepmom, with Julia Roberts. That one gets me going big time!

Holy crap - I just watched that movie last week and it destroyed me. It seems every time I watch it something new affects me in a huge way. Last week was the first time I saw it since my son was stillborn, and when Shirley McClaine tells Flap, "Oh my God, I'm so stupid. Somehow I thought that when it was all over it would be a relief.." Whoa. I'm just glad I was able to have that moment alone and bawl my eyes out. It was pretty good therapy, really.

So yeah, that movie gets to me too. As does Steel Magnolias and, don't laugh, Parenthood.

Not sure I could watch that right now....I am still crying at stupid commercials. Is it because I am so overtired? I hope so, because I do not want to have to deal with any post partum depression....that would suck.
